Former U.S. President Bill Clinton used to be the poster child of heart disorders. Now, after giving up on his passion for junk foods, the 65-year-old has never felt better.
Clinton started cutting out meat from his diet seven years ago, right after he went under the knife for a quadruple bypass procedure. Only last year, he had to go another operation in order to have two stents placed into his heart. That’s when he finally decided to go vegan in order to save his ailing heart.
Going vegan means getting rid of all animal-based foods and eating instead whole grains, fruits and vegetables in their most natural form. Clinton has shed at least 24 pounds and is now healthier than he has ever been in years.
