Anthony Hopkins is the epitome for devotion in acting. In fact, he’s already considered to be film’s greatest living actor. That said, the 72-year-old has also committed his devotion in health. In fact, he’s already lost 80 pounds.
Hopkins’ wife, Stella Arroyave, said that her husband started his weight loss journey about two years ago. He gave up on meat, bread and biscuits—which eventually paid off.
On top of that, he’s also working out.
“So I’m in the gym six days a week, I power walk, live on 1800 calories a day. No pasta. No Seconds. A sandwich occasionally. Now I’m a health nut,” Hopkins revealed.
So why did he lose weight? Hopkins has this to say:
“I got tired of being heavy, so I went on a really good regime of eating healthily and exercising for an hour a day… I’m not nutty, macrobiotic kind of guy, but I enjoy being alive.”
