It’s almost unsurprising if you hear about a celebrity becoming a vegetarian. However, hearing about a celebrity dropping a vegetarian lifestyle into a more “normal” one is considerably far less common. And that, is what actress Zooey Deschanel did.
Still, the actress isn’t quitting her vegetarian diet without good reason. After trying out her all-vegetable diet, the actress found out that she is allergic to soy, wheat and eggs. That said, it’ll be hard for her to continue with her vegetarian diet.
“My older sister [Emily Deschanel] has been a very, very committed vegan since high school. I wish I could be like that, but I’m not. I have a lot of food sensitivities—I can’t eat wheat or soy—and it was very difficult to eat and get enough calories. It was even impossible to eat at a vegan restaurant” Zooey commented.
So how does Zooey burn off all the fat she eats from meat? By working out six days a week, of course. She either goes running, hiking, biking, or just taking a good old walk.
